I thought Lewis was down, or at least badly hurt, at one point. Watched it quite a few years ago, so I may be wrong.

He was never down.

He was stunned in the first round by a left hook but nothing real bad.

well obviously he punched himself out in the first round trying to put Lewis away

I haven't seen a lot of his prime fights, so I can't say whether he has always had bad stamina... but I know he didn't lack stamina when he went 12 with Foreman, regardless the fact that he won by majority robbery decision if I recall right

He's always had stamina issues. That and steroid issues. Briggs doesn't deserve this shot, end of story.

Briggs is a bum and has no heart. I thought he quit years ago when he took a dive or qiut or gave up and didn't want to fight anymore. Briggs has no desire and is just looking for a paycheck at 40 that's it. If this fight happens it it a sham and should be stopped.
