I knew this..who didnt see this coming.
Pac didnt want this fight..either that or he doesnt want full testing..
either way it looks bad...proceed with another useless top rank fight!

It's Floyd or bust and if Manny takes one of those two "Top Rank In-house" match-ups, he stands to decrease his bargaining position even further. Just a bad move on all levels.

Pacquiao's unwillingness to take random testing seemed justified initially but looks worse and worse as he continues to find head-scratching opponents instead of calling Floyd's bluff. A Cotto rematch or a Margarito bout is not the way to go and I'm going to be shaking my head if one of those are announced next week. Mayweather is feeling pressure as well as Pacquiao doesn't appear willing to acquiesce and he may be forced to take a cutoff offer he doesn't like. If it's the offer that's been bandied about lately, I'd be shocked if he does and I certainly wouldn't blame him if he doesn't. The nonsense has to stop. And it begins with the fans telling Top Rank that we're not interested in these alternatives. "No problem" my ass.
    great post.

umh..thats not true..especially when its put out like Pac is trying to make the fight happen..Mosley signed the contract way before Floyd did
(you know when all the Pac STANS were claiming Floyd wouldnt sign cause it had already been a week and he had yet to sign)

You can't knock Pacquiao for just being aware of his options. If they didn't want the Mayweather fight I think they would've chosen another opponent by now and gone forth with another fight.

I'm not too big on a Cotto rematch like many aren't, but at the same time there's really nobody out there with a big name that'll attract attention besides Floyd. People may criticize Pacquiao for fighting Cotto again, but just like Pacquiao, Floyd doesn't have many options either if he decides not to sign against Pacquiao. There's always talk of Williams, Martinez, etc, but realistically I don't see those fights ever materializing. I'm not sure who Floyd would target that can bring him any real money. At least with Pacquiao vs Cotto, they're the 2 of the top 3 draws in Boxing in the last couple yrs regardless of the 1st outcome (there's always a story to build). I have a tough time seeing who can provide Floyd a high profile fight that isn't named Pacquiao or Cotto right now.

duh??? contract signing happens when both parties have already agreed on all terms stipulated in the contract so how could pac sign something that floyd hasn't signified any intention to be agreeable with the terms? floyd was all gagged he hasn't voiced out anything if the terms are acceptable to him or not...something that is unusual for a mouthy person like him. so far only his fans like you who are bitching about contract signing on pac's part where in fact this is not a concern because he has openly said he's just waiting for floyd's approval of the terms.

This is what I have been saying all along if Pacquiao fights somebody besides Mayweather and his PPV numbers go down then that only makes it worse when he trys to step back to the negotiation table with Mayweather

That's exactly what they're gonna do. Right around the deadline. The deadline isn't for Pacquiao-Mayweather; it's Pacquiao vs. Whomever. They wanted Margarito initially and went through the motions of trying to get him a license. They secured Cotto by having Manny's adviser fly out there. The announcement will be made in a week or so. Right on schedule.

Pac has agreed to mayweathers demands and met him half way, in fact he has met him more than half way. If floyd still refuses then Pac has to move on, he has no choice.

meeting demands is like Floyd agreeing to Pacs demand of 10 million for every pund over 147
Floyd didnt say ok Ill agree and meet your demand but Ill only pay 5 million
                      hahhha
pac agreeing to old cut off dates is not meeting anything
