Baldo was #1..... I can remember laughing at it myself at the time.
You don't compare the undisputed/linear champ with anyone else..... you wait for him to get beat.

Not to mention, and if i recall correctly, Arum was trying to **** Mayweather on that deal.

I just wanna take the opportunity to correct/emphasize three little things.....
1.) MANY reputable scribes/critics said at the time, that Mayweather would not fight Baldomir. They said that Baldomir was too tall and too strong for Floyd. Don't believe me? I don't care. That is how it was, I can remember because I was there.
2.) **** off with the Margarito bull****. Shane bent Margarito over, but that is not why Margarito does not deserve having his name mentioned in the same sentence as Mayweather.
Even though that clown's greatest achievement is punking up to Mayweather on camera, he actually very nearly put himself in a serious position to line Floyd up. Except he lost, NOT to Shane..... to Paul Williams.....
Why does everyone keep forgetting about that?
3.) There is an old boxing saying..... " you are only as good as your last fight ". Well, going by Margarito's last two fights..... I even got Cintron beating him at this point.

manny paciaou is good and has good speed BUT, I SAID BUT, all this crap about multiweight champ and fighter of the decade really is going a little over the top.
i mean, he has fought at a few weights yes but, the latter fights have been at catchweights or super this or junior that or light the other! in the days of ray robbo or even earlier...one fight sticks out firmly in my mind and that was the fight between the reigning middle weight champ against the reigning heavyweight champ yes you know.....jack johnson and stan ketchell.
although ketchell lost by brutal knockout only moments before flooring johnson! imagine if he had of won??!! where would that have placed pacmans achievements? or that other fighter during the fifties....? was it armstrong???
fighting at multiple weights for titles and winning and then jumping up or down in weight to defend previously won titles only to win at those respoective weights (i think i may be wrong about the name) but, he exists nevertheless. where does that place pacman? these were fought when there were no intermediate weight classes. it was or would have been a massive amount of sheer hard work on their part for any fighter of those days to do this weight jumping stuff even a couple of times.
i think that increasing weight has not been a real problem for anyone including pacman but, dropping back down then up then down....hmmm, su****ious. and then there is the peds issue, this will only be resolved if the tests are imposed on his very next fight.
the pressure will be on him in a big way to show this "abnormal" power he appears to have and the punishment he was able to laugh off inflicted by miguel cotto will in actual fact prove it is "normal".
now what was the name of that guy????????? it was him but, it was during the forties and he wentup and down between ten and twelve pounds! between lightweight/welterweight...and viewed by many as the "greatest"
