You act like boxers fight at 1 weight for their whole career. P will fought at 160 but is willing to go down to 47 for a fight with pacquiao.
Shane mosley fought at 154 a bunch of times but last may went down to 147 to fight mayweather after calling him out for years. Mayweather fought de la hoya at 154 and welterweight is anything from 140 to 154, thats why all the names on that list are valid and why your post isnt
You act like Floyd is a natural 147 pounder - the dudes you are listed are guys who started out at 47, went up and came back
Yeah, right - but Williams can jump classes because even though he started at 47 he is even taller then most MW's dude - that's the point... he is a freak of size, ain't nothing to do with skill or something.
Shane Mosley has a different build then Mr. Mayweather and by the way Mosley ain't did that great at 54
He would have fought DLH even at 174 - because DLH was is ticket to becoming a star
It's nice that you have an different view on weight classes, it ain't matches mine but it's ok - if you have any clue about boxing of course you know that many fighters jump a class - but if I'm coming from 130 (and he made the limit pretty easily for a long time) you can't tell me that I arrive at 147 and simply jump one weight class like it is nothing and fight a guy like Vargas at 154 - I'm sorry to disagree but I have an different stance on that - he fought once at 54 and only because he had to - he ain't looked good at that weight - 47 is his ceiling and his 4th weight class
The only who holds true is Margarito, all the others are false - by the way 2005 as he came to 47 - most of the guys you listened were already badly fading or past prime (Trinidad, Vargas) I really don't see where the point is and actually I really cannot remember anyone ever talking about a fight with Mayweather vs. Winky, Forrest, Trinidad, Vargas, P-Will - there were never any negotiations or whatever - and if you base your ducking theory on your personal liking then he would have ducked everybody who he hasn't fought - but that would go out to every boxer - I can't remember that any boxer fought every fighter in and around his weight class (Weighter welt is 140.01 - 147 pounds and not 140 - 154 dude - I understand your don't like him but to start fantasy weight classes to prove your point is a little too much - at least you should stay true to the facts
win or lose i want pacquiao to take this fight.. to show the world that he is the face of boxing today and not the ***** safety first mayweather
I agree with you. I'd hate to see Pac rush into things and commit to fight PW only to have Floyd finally agree to contract stipulations but by the way it looks, who's to say if that'll ever happen. That being said, regardless of who pac fights now, whether win or lose, his remaining fights should be made to trend the riskier line. As awkward of a fight P Wil may sound it's alot more intriguing than a match up with either Cotto or Marg.
Goosen promotes P. Williams, to suggest for Pacman to fight Williams, I think is
a ****** idea and should never be considered at all. Pacquiao will not gain anything from it. Only Goosen will benefit. Nice try.
Enough with the excuses about size difference. If Pac vs Floyd doeosnt go thru, LET IT BE, THE PACMAN VS THE PUNISHER!!! 2 OF THE BEST TODAY. WHY NOT?? SO PUNISHER NOT AS BIG A NAME, SO WHAT, IT LL STILL SELL AND IT WOULD BE AN AWESOME FIGHT. SIZE DIFFERENCE? CMON NOW THIS IS BOXING. ITS BEEN DONE BEFORE...
