Hopefully the fight's made. It's a very solid one, if so.
You guys are trippin... Donaire has always wanted a fight like this.. He is the one being avoided. That being said kudos to Montiel if he takes this fight. Finally!@!!

I am almost 100% sure Donaire will beat Montiel by KO or TKO...

            REMATCH!!!
were talking about about a possible donaire-montiel match up here so stop crying about a montiel-hazegawa rematch. your boy got beat fair and square, let the good ones fight

              Just recently we've had:

              Moreno-Cermeno
              Hasegawa-Montiel
              Perez-Mares

Moreno-Cermeno II is going to be in Panama in August, Perez may rematch Agbeko or Mares and now news of this fight.

              Great stuff.
Yes, we have been somewhat spoiled in comparison to the other divisions. I've gotten pretty use to saying "if they actually fight each other..." I meant to say continue to fight the best.

There's so many great matchups that it doesn't matter win/lose. There should be another 8 man round robin for 118.

After Montiel-Donaire, do you think the winner would stay at 118? There are some good matchups to be made, but I can't see Montiel not going after a title in his 4th division. And Donaire is always talking about moving up.

Baracuda must have some blinders on if he can't see that Donaire's physical frame (not just height) has been huge compared to his opponents at 112 and 115. Donaire's build has been like a Mike Jones at 147.

                Montiel vs. Moreno

How about Montiel vs. Moreno for the Ring Bantamweight Title. Then have the winner fight Donaire (or maybe of the winner between Donaire and Nashiro or Hasegawa).

I'm a big fan of Hasegawa but IMO if he's pitted against Nonito he'll prolly be KOed too. Montiel floored Hozu with that left hook, which incidentally is Donaire's sickest weapon inhis arsenal.

I'm just happy Nonito's gonna have a worthy opponent this time since Darchinyan, so all doubters can STFU and saying otherwise when Nonito's the one avoided.

It's time for Fernando Montiel to be listed on the Top 10 P4P rankings.
