Williams avoiding Martinez and Pacquiao fighting a rematch with Cotto are both ***** moves. I don't dislike the Pacquiao-Williams fight per say. But I just think that Williams is using this as a way to avoid the rematch with Martinez. Arum will probably even use that as an excuse not to fight him and say something like he thinks Williams got his ass beat by Martinez and he needs to rematch him in order to deserve a shot at Pacquiao. Hell, he already beat that drum in the lead up to the Pavlik-Martinez fight to try to improve the image of his fighter for the fight between Pavlik and Williams falling apart.

But who the hell wants to see a Cotto-Pacquiao rematch? I don't care how tall Paul Williams is, at least he is a fresh challenge for Pacquiao and these are the kind of guys Arum goes to the extreme to keep Pacquiao away from these days.

Why do you guys act like you dont like money or recognition?
IF I was PW I would call out Floyd and Pac too?
I would feel like I could beat either and I can make the weight, I would take Floyds Drug tests and I would fight Pac at 147 no problem...and with that I would make much more money and gain recognition, way more money than a rematch with Martinez.
Not to mention that I know Martinez will always be there to try an erase his loss.Common sense.

I don't want to read this **** that Martinez is ducking Williams later on. He pulled the same **** with Margarito.

To be fair though, Williams did offer Martinez an immediate rematch for more money than he got for Pavlik and he turned it down. This is the same thing you claim Williams did with Margarito. Other than that though, I still view it as a ***** move to turn down a rematch with Sergio because Martinez is the frigging Middleweight champ. That's even worse than turning down an immediate rematch with Margarito because Paul beat Margarito more convincingly. I gotta admit I can't defend this stuff Chicano. If this rematch don't happen, I'm turning my back on the Punisher.

That's my personal view as well. But I can't blame Williams for wanting the big money.

Margarito had plenty of opportunities to rematch Williams and chose not to. He did the same with Martinez and he will never look Mosleys way again. In fact, Margarito has never rematched any fighter that beat him. You shouldn't mention his name in that context.

I understand why Paul would go after him, but I also understand Manny not wanting to fight a guy 9in taller than him. Itd be fun to see but I cant imagine it ever happening.

Whats up with height requirements to fight Pac?
No one was saying anything when Cotto fought Quintana, Margarito or Yuri...all tall guys.
To be fair Verno Phillips was not at 147.

Also to be fair nobody really knew who P-Will was when he fought Mitchell... And, the people that did know him knew he was a very green prospect while Mitchell was a shot fighter.

And, also I don't know if I would consider Quintana as "tall" but I guess since he was taller than Cotto. But, not "tall" by any means IMO.

But, if you give credit to Cotto for fighting guys taller than him then why not do the same to Pac?

                      Double standards? I think so....
