It's amazing how people turn a blind eye on some of these fighters. If there is anyone that should be criticized with this news, it's Paul WIlliams not Manny Pacquiao. The dude is disgracefully picking on smaller guys. This is more of PW ducking men in his league such as Sergio Martinez or Lucian Bute. What is the world going to say if Pacquiao starts picking on guys like Vic Darchinian or maybe Ivan Calderon. Get a grip, idiots! I have totally lost whatever amount of respect I had for PW. DOn't follow the footsteps of Floyd. You are an American, living in America...the land of the brave. Fight those who have a good shot at beating the crap out of you, beat the odds, and move on with much respect and the money thing will be there. Don't take the cowardly route.

oh no....if Williams wants this fight he gotta come down to like 145.....he not coming in a full blown WW.....last time Paul made 145 was what?...the first Qintana fight?.....then take into consideration that Paul gives away his most important advantage every fight.....I think those things would add up to to the lil dude bouncing left hands and right hooks off Paul's head, face and chin ALL NIGHT....IMHO I think Paul would get whooped by the lil dude....really!!

Paul is damaging his career. I can see if Martinez was a non title fight but it's for a belt, that'll make him more marketable. He's not the most avoided, he just asks for fantasy fights.

Be careful what you wish for, Goosen.

Paul wants to fight someone in his own weight class. What's wrong with that?

He is challenging the #1 p4p fighter in his own weight class. A guy the peasants say is an all-time great.

And if Paul is badly draining himself to make 147, then fine. That should make a win VERY easy for Manny...right?

If you can make the weight, that's your weight class.

Goosen admitted in the article, that he did not think the fight could be made. But he was willing to try, I don't see how that makes it a bad move. One thing that will surely keep this fight from happening, is for Goosen to not make any effort to make it happen.
