Floyd is simply too small to mess with Hearns!!Hearns also has too much power for him!!Floyd's defense is good, but Hearns would be firing from too much distance, which would render Floyd's counters useless, therefore making Floyd a sitting duck to steller offense!!Bad matchup for Floyd!!

Here are the reasons why this fight would never happen:
1. Floyd would make Tommy take one drug test after another, because after all according to Floyd how can anyone look so good knocking fighters out?
2. After issuing drug test Floyd would then ask Tommy to take a polygraph test to ensure Floyd's camp his power didn't come from Tommy's Jerry curl.
3. After this Floyd would ask Tommy to be tested for herpes I mean what if it somehow got on Tommy's glove and landed on Floyds face?
4. Then Floyd would ask Tommy to come in at a weight stipulation of 144 while Floyd would come in at 147. Oh wait, Floyd already pulled that trick.

Unfair fight. Yes it would be completely one sided fight in Hearns favor. Hes too big for Floyd and if he touched Floyd the fight is over. In Hearns era Floyd would have stayed at 140 and rightfully so.

first let me get a few things straight..
1. hearns' right hand was not horribly timed against anyone, he had great timing with all his punches. when your fighting the likes of benitez, SRL and duran your bound to miss a few shots. he tagged all of them more than basicly any other fighter they ever fought.
2. hearns fought flatfooted when he was pressing the attack, so did floyd in his last fight. that doesnt mean eighter one of them is a flatfooted fighter in general. hearns often danced around the ring and was a master at using his feet to move in and out of range. anyone who thinks hes flatfooted havent seen alot of his fights and clearly dont know him as a fighter.
3. hearns did better against boxers than he did swarmers. nobody ever managed to outbox hearns and beat him with precision. SRL couldnt outbox him, benitez couldnt outbox him, hill couldnt outbox him. the times he lost were to guys like barkley and hagler who came in and attacked him furiously with punches in bunches. again u really dont know **** about hearns.
hearns would beat floyd easily, KO within 4. floyd wouldnt be able to outbox hearns bcuz of his handspeed and height. the way to beat floyd is with the jab, hearns would keep him at the end of the stick and rain in power shots. floyd wouldnt be able to get inside, the reach, handspeed and power would push him back. hearns would kill him.
also let me add how ******ed it is saying hearns is overrated.
The only part I disagree about is I don't think the most important punch in this fantasy matchup would be the jab.
Floyd has always been great at countering the jab, and he neutralizes right hand body punching with his defensive style.
The punch that I think would win the fight for Hearns (and the one that is almost always overlooked when talking about Hearns arsenal) is his vicious left hook to the body.
Hearns would be able to stick that left hook in Mayweather's belly and he had the handspeed to come right back up top with another left hook.
Once he had Mayweather weary of his left handed attack he could start dropping in his right hand over the top and it would get ugly fast for Floyd.
The one thing you are right about is nobody outboxes Hearns. Even Leonard was made to look clueless for a long portion of their first fight when Hearns abandoned his early attack, got on his toes, and worked Leonard from the outside.

Hearns has the solid jab and excellent boxing skills, that would be enough to probably beat mayweather. I don't know about KO cause Mayweather's very defensive, but Hearns all the way.

This is one fight you can GUARANTEE Floyd would never take in a million years, and if he did, what Shane tried to do to Floyd, Hearns would succeed at doing.
