I'm looking forward to following Canelo's career! Two years from now, I see him becoming welterweight and jr. middleweight champion of the world!

I dont know if anyone noticed, but Alvarez definitely learned from his fight with Jose Cotto: he had his right hand glued to his face in this fight, although he never was in any position to get hit regardless.
A young fighter that quickly picks up on his mistakes and fixes them is definitely a good sign.
its also refreshing to see a young fighter like able to get a knockdown via headshot and then knockdown via body shot in back to back rounds.
I have high hopes for him.Comment

Anyone can look like a beast or a monster against "TOMATO CANS"..& instead of taking a step forward after the Cotto fight(that even with the advantages Alvarez had against Cotto in height, reach, weight he did not look impressive)Alvarez took a couple of steps back in fighting this "ULTIMATE TOMATO CAN" Cuello..Alvarez his ALL HYPE & when he takes on real contenders like Vyacheslav Senchenko, Mike Jones, Vanes Martirosyan or Fernando Guerrero(just mention a few) & if he beats them(which I doubt) then he could be consider a legitimate good fighter, BUT NOT WHILE HE'S BEATING TOMATO CANS!!!!!Comment

and arent' those guys you mentioned just like alvarez? who has mike jones faced? who has guerrero faced? just because people follow alvarez and talk about him don't mean he's any less of a fighter than the ones you mentioned...nobody has even said alvarez is already a top pound for pound fighter, nobody, people say he's a future champ, just like some say about mike jones, guerrero, etc so he's ranked high, who cares, the ranking have for some time been a joke, the guy has 30 fights, after 30 fights you probably will be ranked,if he's ranked with only 15 fights he'll still get criticized, saying he has not enough fights to be ranked, even with 30 he'll still get criticized, hope you hold guerrero and jones to the same standard as alvarez, saying until they fight each other they are considered goodAnyone can look like a beast or a monster against "TOMATO CANS"..& instead of taking a step forward after the Cotto fight(that even with the advantages Alvarez had against Cotto in height, reach, weight he did not look impressive)Alvarez took a couple of steps back in fighting this "ULTIMATE TOMATO CAN" Cuello..Alvarez his ALL HYPE & when he takes on real contenders like Vyacheslav Senchenko, Mike Jones, Vanes Martirosyan or Fernando Guerrero(just mention a few) & if he beats them(which I doubt) then he could be consider a legitimate good fighter, BUT NOT WHILE HE'S BEATING TOMATO CANS!!!!!Comment

No they are not, these guy's that I mentioned have fought legidimate fighters in their last few fights & have dominated & looked good & in each fight their opponents are much better & ranked higher than their last opponent, in other words they are improving in each fight & they show it...Not like "ALL HYPE" Alvarez that keeps on fighting 'PURE BREED TOMATO CAN'S" & "BUMS" & STILL LOOKS THE SAME!!! The ONLY name on "TOMATO CAN KILLER" Alvarez record that sticks out is José Cotto(Miguel Cotto's brother) who was WAY shroter in height than Alvarez, had a WAY shorter reach & fought Alvarez 3 weight category's above his normal weight class & with all those disadvantages Cotto almost KO'd Alvarez in the 1st round & even thou Alvarez was winning the rest of the rounds, Cotto was hanging in there & to top it off the fight was stopped prematurely!!! Even in Mexico they are saying that Alvarez is WAY OVERRATED & THAT HE'S A CREATION OF OF MEXICAN NETWORK "TELEVISA" & he's being critizied for FIGHTING BUMS!! Go into noti fight (boxing site from Mexico) & you'll see..and arent' those guys you mentioned just like alvarez? who has mike jones faced? who has guerrero faced? just because people follow alvarez and talk about him don't mean he's any less of a fighter than the ones you mentioned...nobody has even said alvarez is already a top pound for pound fighter, nobody, people say he's a future champ, just like some say about mike jones, guerrero, etc so he's ranked high, who cares, the ranking have for some time been a joke, the guy has 30 fights, after 30 fights you probably will be ranked,if he's ranked with only 15 fights he'll still get criticized, saying he has not enough fights to be ranked, even with 30 he'll still get criticized, hope you hold guerrero and jones to the same standard as alvarez, saying until they fight each other they are considered goodComment

Dude you swear any of the 'legit' fighters you listed fought top 10 contenders and proven journeyman from day one. Criticism and skepticism is fine, but you're just straight up hating. Lanardo Tyner beat Antwone Smith on Friday, and Alvarez happened to soundly beat Tyner, so maybe you should see that Alvarez can't even legally drink in the U.S. and has a hell of an awesome future ahead of him despite hardly any amateur experience. You think Pacquiao, Cotto, Martirosyan haven't fought club fighters with lots of fights, but losing records to gain experience. And just to throw it out there, JCC Jr. struggled with Cuello while Alvarez made it look pro. Quit drinkin' that haterade balltapper.Comment
