It usually take more then just 1 week to sign a contract and agree upon the details, even more so when you're dealing with the 2 biggest names in boxing, but how quickly Arum signed the Clottey fight made me wonder if he had any real intentions to make the fight happen in March in the first place. So if it happened again, I’d keep wondering. Not to mention that 3 months is more then enough time to promote a fight, even though this fight has been promoted since the first negotiation came and went, this fight is already the biggest fight in the sport and it hasn't even been signed yet.
IMHO even if they had agreed and signed the contract July 1, we'd still have been hearing the same bull****, because it seems like they're just still milking the anticipation, i expect there will be a huge press conference by the middle of the month.
