1. Was not ready for this fight, per his trainer Roach.
2. Training with Steve Forbes, who fights nothing like Clottey, but like a lower tier Mayweather.
Floyd has explicitedly stated what he said he wanted in a fight after Top Rank ****ed it over the first time on May 1st of this year and given the results of their latest fights, Floyd has the edge in negotiating this time around. Honestly at this point, with the dishonest behavior from Top Rank, I'd tell them to go **** themselves and go about my business until they want to act like professionals at the negotiating table.

From my understanding, everything that Floyd wanted the first time, but was soundly rejected by Top Rank, is now the same thing that Top Rank is proposing. First logical question is "What was wrong when this was initially offered for March 13?' I have a couple of answers that could point to the truth.

When March 13th came around, their stances was 24 days for Manny, 14 for Floyd.
May 1st, Floyd said no cut off.
Post May 1st, Manny said he's ok with 14.
That is the timeline. Why should Floyd go back to 14 days when he's done it fully and has the negotiation advantages this time?

Good article. Arum has been doing this for the longest time that's why he's been in the business for so long. He has crafted the art of negotiation through media for his fighters and company's benefit. He may be a scumbag/crooked promoter but he's a genius as well. If this fight between Floyd vs. Pac happens, you should all thank Arum for it. He has Floyd cornered and the media will crucify him if he doesn't fight Pac. So it's a win, win situation for Ol' Sleazebag Arum fight or no fight.Last edited by SuperTrooper; 07-15-2010, 08:27 PM.

Arum requested the unecessary OST back on March which killed the fight?
Flyods fault that the fight did not happen back in March for requesting unecessary OST, and for present since Pac agreed to Flyod 14 days OST and Flyod seems not interested on the fight.
