Montreal – InterBox is proud to announce that the International Boxing Federation (IBF) has approved the staging of an IBF mandatory title bout between top contender Jesse Brinkley (35-0-0, 22 KO) and IBF Super Middleweight champion Lucian Bute (26-0-0, 21 KO). InterBox also reports that it has reached agreement with Let’s Get It On Promotions and Star Boxing for the services of Jesse Brinkley, and that the mandatory fight will take place on Friday, October 15th 2010 at the Montreal Bell Centre. The IBF awaits signed contracts from each camp.

Yea WTF? Brinkley is'nt 36-0. LOL not even close. I still think Brinkley deserves a shot though. He looked decent and he earned it against Stevens. It's another showcase fight for Bute.

Please put this on regular TV Live across Canada. Let people know who Bute is. The same goes for Pascal, Ross, Lemieux, etc. How are you supposed build a fanbase if nobody knows who he is or that he even exsists. Most people in Canada don't know that boxing is even around anymore. When I tell people that I box they think I'm talking about MMA. well actually they will call it UFC fighting. LOL!
