like i said, there's NOTHING wrong with being an illegal alien and looking for a better life. but still, having such a massive amount of people literally risking their lives to enter the US proves that mexico's economy is heavily dependent of the US

we're even in a worst case scenario than you guys of course, i'm not denying that at all

i NEVER said that puerto rico is an independent country. you said the PR isn't a country, you're now changing your argument:

I knew somehow before I posted that people would talk about Puerto Rico not being a country being a commonwealth of the USA but really, who gives a ****?

It doesn't matter what my opinion is, the matter is that it's not a country on its own. IT IS A FACT.

Tell me, which countries out there officially recognize Puerto Rico as an independent country? How many times did PR reject independence? Three times 1967, 1993, and 1998. There is no argument.

There's nothing wrong with being nationalistic and being proud of being Puerto Rican, but unfortunately your argument is false and the fact is PR is a Commonwealth (not an independent Republic etc..) and a NOT, I repeat, NOT a country. My job is done here.

Please show me where the United States Supreme Court said that Puerto Rico was a sovereign nation.

If I recall correctly, the Spanish ceded PR, Cuba, the Philippines, and Guam to the United States following their defeat in the Spanish-American War. Cuba and the Philippines eventually became sovereign nations while PR and Guam have not.
