like i said, there's NOTHING wrong with being an illegal alien and looking for a better life. but still, having such a massive amount of people literally risking their lives to enter the US proves that mexico's economy is heavily dependent of the US

There's nothing wrong with being nationalistic and being proud of being Puerto Rican, but unfortunately your argument is false and the fact is PR is a Commonwealth (not an independent Republic etc..) and a NOT, I repeat, NOT a country. My job is done here.

If I recall correctly, the Spanish ceded PR, Cuba, the Philippines, and Guam to the United States following their defeat in the Spanish-American War. Cuba and the Philippines eventually became sovereign nations while PR and Guam have not.
