Berto looked extremely sharp that night... I don't think it had much to do with Quintana that night.I was a little surprised he got Quintana out of there like that. I thought Q was gonna put up more of a fight. I didn't look at it as Q being off, I looked at it as Berto being on. He was sharp and crisp, and he sowed that he can change his style up to suit the opponent. THAT is a big plus and is as underrated as much as a fighter who finishes well, IMHO.
I think Maidana wouldn't do that well at welterweight... give me specific opponent scenarios so I can wrap my head around it a little better.
He broke his hand in round 2 I've heard... not a shoulder injury.Comment

thanks for clearing that up, I wasn't suggesting the may, pac, mosley etc I was thinking quintana, clottey, aydin, holt at welter, zab, jones and berto.Berto looked extremely sharp that night... I don't think it had much to do with Quintana that night.

I see your point D. But I think most were blinded into thinking that Berto was the next Shane due to his speed, and Andre(to me) was never the "next" Shane, he was just Andre Berto a new up and coming fighter with alot of speed and good power to go along with it.
Andre never moved in and out with angles like Shane did, and he did not have as much Boxing IQ that Shane had when they were at the same stages in their career's. That's not to say that Andre won't continue to develop, but there is a gap there in ring IQ that most forget about when looking at the physical attributes of both fighters. Andre is catching up though, and by my guesstimation will surpass Shane in being able to think while in the ring.Comment
