Boxing is dying bro and there's no one in the ranks that's capable of bringing it back.
I'm going to keep this quote and when Pacquiao-Mayweather does 3 million+ buys, I'm going to throw it in your face. The UFC does have more frequent PPV events, but they're not consistent quality-wise at all. UFC 116 was sick, I really enjoyed it. But 114 ****** ****. I can count on at least one good fight a month and a great fight every two or three months. And the best boxing is better than the best MMA.

I'm not saying boxing is in its golden age, far from it. But it has a lot of life left in it. And a lot of that life is in Pacquiao-Mayweather. If that fight is as great as it could be, expect a BIG upswing in boxing. If it falls flat, or even worse, falls through, it could be a sign that we're coming up on the end. I hope not, but it could disenfranchise the casual fan to a degree that they don't want to buy anymore.

like i said bro pac and may is the only big fight boxing has left and both of these are 1-2 years away from walking away into the sunset. Then what???? Who's left? what fight can the casuals not wait for? Boxing is dead bro get used to it! If there was anyone in the wings ready to carry boxing they'd already been known and have sparked some interest. Fact is the only young fighter casuals know is chavez jr. due to his father and most opinions are that he's just seniors son making money off his father's name. Fact is boxing is no where near where it was and no where near the popularity that mma has right now.

You do not know how many ppv's UFC is getting a month. The numbers the UFC release are completely false if it is so big why are the fighters paid close to dog ****. MMA is not even legal in New York that just shows how far behind boxing they are how many major prize fights have happened in boxing at Madison Square Garden/Yankee Stadium. Boxing is an international sport, MMA is only popular in America and they did a show a few shows to show it is global and they completely bombed. My cousin is a ppv distributor and told me UFC 100 did about 925,000 buys and they only average about 250,000 ppv buys a month. MMA has no talent in there sport because there is no money in that garbage. After Pacquiao vs. Mayweather more fights will materialize you are looking at this so short term. There are so many amazing upcoming boxers Omar Henry, Saul Alvarez, Frankie Gomez, Jose Benavidez Jr., Jessie Vargas, Devon Alexander, Amir Khan and so many more.

Boxing is WAAAAY bigger than any set of fighters. It's ****ing ancient, OK?

They have carvings of boxing in Egyptian tombs from 1500 BC. The first boxing academy was opened in London in 1719. There's plenty more if you bother to do a web search.

You guys are a bunch of drama queens. Boxing will be around. Take a breath, have a shot of good bourbon and calm down.

            That is all. Carry on.

Umm because they're locked into contracts with ufc/dana white. You obviously know nothing about this issue.

MMA is not even legal in New York that just shows how far behind boxing they are how many major prize fights have happened in boxing at Madison Square Garden/Yankee Stadium.
              ummmmmm ok?????? lol

seriously bro not only are you getting annoying but showing your ignorance. You do know MMA is VERY popular world wide. Based on your ******ity, I'm assuming you think UFC is the same things as MMA. Also you do know that MMA fights in japan are held in sold out 60,000 stadiums???

My cousin is a ppv distributor and told me UFC 100 did about 925,000 buys and they only average about 250,000 ppv buys a month.
              my brother's,, girlfriend's cousin's, uncle's, nephew said you're a liar.

MMA has no talent in there sport because there is no money in that garbage.
Really bro? read that sentence again and if you don't realize the ******ity in it then you need help. You've been living in a rock if you don't think mma doesn't generate money. MMA is where it is due to great promotions and sponsors.

After Pacquiao vs. Mayweather more fights will materialize you are looking at this so short term. There are so many amazing upcoming boxers Omar Henry, Saul Alvarez, Frankie Gomez, Jose Benavidez Jr., Jessie Vargas, Devon Alexander, Amir Khan and so many more.
no bro shut up. I've been apart of boxing for a long time and based on your posts probably alot longer than you. No one knows or gives a **** about a gomez, alexander, or khan. It's a fact bro. None of those guys are going to do anything that brings boxing back to the spotlight. Quit acting like a little bittch throwing a fit cause things don't go your way. The truth is the truth and your biased fits don't change anything. UFC just had Mir vs Carwin boxing has Tua vs Barret on ppv coming up. Go figure.

MMA is not popular worldwide at all Martial Arts are popular but not Mixed Martial Arts. Do you think MMA has anyone with such great athletic abilities as a Mayweather, Roy Jones, or Sugar Ray Leonard. They have Tank Abbott lol.
