Stop trolling brah, the way you talk its like JMM never had a pro fight before he fought Pac.
that's not what im saying & you know it. marquez had a career just like hundreds if not thousands of pros that was toiling in obscurity. his fame & fortune in boxing came from from the pac fight & you know it.
plus i made this thread cuz jack gave me red for making a piss drinking comment about marquez in another thread.

JMM's status in the sport comes from a combo of the Pac fights which took him just as much as it took Pac to make great and a good long career where he consistently performed well against good opposition. You act like Pac was this big star before fighting the "star maker" DLH.

While Marquez had lost to Chris John and was looking to rebuild against no namers like Jimrex Jaca and Terdsak Jandaeng. If it wasnt for the Top Rank/GBP lawsuit over Pacquiao's promotional rights that allowed Marquez an expresslane towards Barrera's belt....he may very well be retired or still at 126lbs to this day.
What a joke of a thread, Marquez always had the smooth counter-puncher skills. Him and his brother is a joy to watch. Marquez was avoided by the top of his time cause he is that good. Didn't make more money cause his style is not exciting.

mainstream wise, no pac was not that until after the oscar fight. within the sport of boxing pac was already a star before the oscar fight. stop beating around the modesty bush, marquez fame the bulk of it, came from the pac fight.
