i dont think it will be lopez i even heard lopez's camp according to bwoaye was saying that the gamboa fight would be best suited for 2012 and in the 130 division if thats TRUE WELL that would suck, we need that fight next summer
but i think it depends on how well elio does against him if elio gives him trouble it would be a lesser type of opponent maybe salido i dont kno
This fight is going to clear up a lot of things up in what is arguably the best division in boxing. This matchup reminds me of the good ol' days where the best fought the best, and politics didn't rule and decide who fought whom. Concerning the actual fight, I see a see-saw battle where neither man will be dominated because each of the fighter's strength will nullify the other. For instance, Gamboa's quickness and explosive combos will be neutralized by Roja's constant activity at the offensive end. Gamboa lightning quickness, but Roja has very good timing....etct...etc. At the end of the day I foresee Gamboa's power and Rojas' lack thereof, giving Gamboa his first hard-earned victory. Regardless of who wins, we're going to find out just how good Gamboa and Rojas really are.
I have to check out this Rojas dude. I saw his record and some of the guys that he has faced didn't look to be elite by any means. The dudes on Gamboa's record had much better records but they could have been fighting bums. One punch though, either with the right or left that lands on the chin and Rojas could hit the canvas....Gamboa is built like a machine...he is one scary little guy.
