True. Floyd Mayweather for example has had a relatively easy career inside the ring (so far) however outside on the ring he not only trains like a dog from all accounts but also comes under intense media scrutiny. With fighters in the past it was the opposite, they had to fight more frequently however they werent under the same level of media scrutiny, however with same day weigh-ins i would assume they trained just as hard if not harder.

Choosing a career where the aim is punch someone in the face and body whilst they are doing the same is not an ideal or sustainable career option. That is why these boxers all deserve such respect.

And I am not judging it by how much they made, or how difficult it was for them to get the title fights. I am grading it on quality of opposition.

Of course Hagler had it very difficult in other ways. He even had to legally change his name to be called Marvelous by some.
Oh okay then lol I'm obviously judging it differently my bad, by opposition and problems then yeah you're right.

I'd say that Barry McGuigan somewhat had an easy career by Hof standards, he's in there because he's well connected to the sport and for writing / working for Ring Magazine rather then what he did in his boxing career
