          Is it possible that for boxers, EPO can work as some sort of a placebo? I mean you'd go thinking, "Yeah! I actually feel stronger now!" and thus make you train harder, since you've convinced yourself your stronger/faster/tougher than what you really are?

            Any way that you cut it many cyclists were beating these blood-urine tests for years and doing it everytime. In fact cycling was probably the dirtiest sport in the world despite having the most stringent testing.

            Pretending that these tests will clean up boxing is a joke, and the only thing worse than insisting they are a necessity is the fact that fans will gladly drag the name of a fighter like Andre Ward through the mud over an issue they really know nothing about.

              But its scientific fact they EPO boost red blood cells, therefore increasing oxygen levels.

                anything can have a placebo effect, thats not substance specific, its more fighter specific....

                nothing different than a fighter training at high altitude
