Oscar gets credit for fighting Tito. But let's face it, he cherry picked every other fighter while Floyd had to fight Corrales just to get a deal with HBO

Quartey foolishly agreed even though Oscar scheduled a bout with Chavez two months before (why, God only knows) and then promptly pulled out of the bout. Quartey hadn't fought in ages and simply wasn't the same fighter. And let's face it, had the Jose Louis Lopez bout not occurred, Oscar would've continued to pretend Ike didn't exist.

Your second comment is equally befuddling. did Oscar go up in weight or did Bernard come down? Was that even a fight?

Yes, Oscar beat Jimmy Bredahl in his 12th fight. Umm ok. And Bredahl held the WBO title which, in 1994, had as much prestige as the WBF crown.

He still fought him, that is what counts. If he wouldn't of fought him and let's say Tito and Whitaker would of, Oscar would of been called a ducker for this.
