Chavez Jr thinks that just because he beat a bum that has no defense now he can beat Cotto?? What a dumb ***in *******! Give him to Cotto so Jr can get KTFO and go away for good! Remember the time he got his ass whooped by Vanda the little ***** wanted to retire.

With all the criticism that JCC Jr. takes for fighting bums, you have to at least admire him for wanting to step up the competition. But yeah, Cotto would annihilate him.

Co-sign. Let him have Cotto, that'll kill the cherry picking fight of Pac vs Cotto. But then again we'd be forced to watch Pac vs Margs, cause I don't think the Floyd fight is gonna happen. Sad, but gotta be real.

Exactly what I was thinking. 1st everybody complains about the lack of quality opponents in JCCJ resumes and when he finally steps up and calls out an Elite fighter he gets critizise.

Lots of props to JCCJ for wanting to step up his game. He has nothing to lose but much to gain on this fight if it takes place. Even in defeat, if it is a close fight he will come out winning. And if he does gets destroyed he is young and has the time to come back. But can you imagine his value if he pulls out the "upset".

I don't think he can beat Cotto, but the same thing was said about Douglas-Tyson.

Long as Chavez fights somebody credible next I don't care who the opponent is. Time for him to step up. I doubt he gets Cotto though.

I think he idolizes Cotto. Cotto stops Dad's son in under 8.
