This is what he should do, don't say he's not ready for Cotto, he's like 42-0 already, what's he's waiting for? Pad his record like his father did? Well Chavez is an ATG and fought the best but he padded his record before that, so this kid has been milked by Top Rank and he should fight the top guys now, before he get too fat.

Great, but no way is he ready for anyone who is world class just because he beat tough but a guy who blocks punches with his face in Duddy.
        Yeah but you gotta admit.....

..... Duddy's defence was nearly perfect in that fight

Cotto is not fighting in september (probably in November or December) and he is not going to fight this bum in Mexico. sorry Chavez Jr but you can't decide when you face Cotto or where.

JCJr, according to Roach, has no problem making 154, so I'd expect the fight to take place at that weight.

This truly is the acid test for him if the fight goes through. And, I actually give him at least a shot at taking it.

Chin, advantage Jr. Speed, advantage Jr. Boxing ability, advantage Cotto. Ring smarts, advantage Cotto. Power, advantage Jr (I think). Chavez is also the naturally bigger man with 3" height and reach advantage...

We'll see, but I don't think it's a no-win situation, though I think Cotto should be favored. But, let's not forget that even though Cotto did look good fighting Foreman, Yuri isn't exactly a world-beater either.

Why are people hatin' on JCC Jr. for wanting to fight a world-class fighter like Cotto? We should give him props for wanting to prove himself after years of fighting B- and C-level opponents. If he loses, then he knows where he stands and he can keep improving.
