thats cool, but floyd has no reason to use it if his hands are not in pain rite??? its not like fighters wanna use that ****. its not a good thing to use at all. he doesnt use it now because he doesnt need to.

he got Garcia in Jan 2001...his fight with Carlos Hernandez was after that AND he admited on that youtube vid being posted around that he infact took a shot in EACH hand in the Hernandez fight....SMH.....lol

"Garcia has been wrapping Mayweather's hands since January of 2001, when he stopped Diego Corrales in the 10th round following five knockdowns. Prior to working with him, Garcia said Mayweather had been wrapping his hands too tightly, had been limiting blood circulation. "

possibly.......but i'm of the opinion he hasn't been using it for some time. He hasn't had any hand problems since going through extensive hand therapy and teaming up with Garcia and he has been hitting with more power and confidence. See Hatton, JMM, ODLH and SSM matches.

I definitely disagree with the no advantage statement. It has its disadvantages just like Steroids/EPO.

By numbing it you can't feel it, if you can't feel it you are gonna hit harder with it, then you wouldn't even know if you injured it - Dr. Goodman

Carlos Monzon, Gene Tunney, Ali, SRL, DLH all had hand problems, and resorted to using numbing agents.

thats ****in ******,u don't alwaysd have pain in your hands if your a fighter.who told u that? why woulds anyone want to numb their hands for no reason?don't you understand that if you don't feel pain you can injur yourself to the point where u will be forced to retire so why would anyone take that risk for the hell of it

dude, dnt use box rec its unreliable. in the hernandez and corrales fight, garcia wasnt responsible for wrapping floyds hands. it was his uncle that did it. garcia didnt start wrapping his hands until afterwards. since garcia begun wrapping his hands' floyd has not injured them in the ring.

let me ask, do u box? have u ever played a big sport? ok ima go away from boxing for a bit, look at kobe. in that last playoff series, he was playing with an injured finger. do u kno what happened?? he got cortizone shots for the finger in order to plan, now that figher may be damaged beyond repair. who wants to risk that??? its not something anyone wants to do. the take the pain relievers because it is the only way they can go into the ring. they dont take it for a false advatage, thats dumb. without the numbing agents, u cant punch, without punching u cant box.

just like with kobe, without the numbing agents you cant shoot, without shooting u cant play ball.
