Why is Bute always fighting much lesser skilled guys.

Because there is nobody else available. Who do you want him to fight at 168? And Brinkley is a mandatory.

Pavlik should retire if he can't beat Andrade. I expect Pav to win, though. He'll be at a healthier weight and his opponent is going to stand right in front of him all night.

Separate bouts not against eachother.

Anyway it doesn't look like Pavlik will fight on this card.

Well i saw the names andrade and pavlik and assumed they where fighting
eachother.Then i read it.My bad,This is a fight i looked foward to.

I really hope this lands on ESPN and gets huge ratings. If espn gets this fight card I give them big props.

BoxingScene.com was advised that it's practically a lock for Lucian Bute (26-0, 21KOs) to make a mandatory defense of his IBF super middleweight title against Jesse Brinkley (35-5, 22KOs) on the date of October 15 at the Bell Centre in Montreal. Andrade is a perfect opponent for Pavlik to test the waters at 168 and would possibly be a foty type fight. Very exciting stuff.

ok these are two guys that ESPN would like to pick up as an undercard, not against each other. Thats a shame cause that would make a great main event on HBO. Getting deeper into this though Pavlik needs to step back and take a hard look at what the future holds for him. Loew obviously did something right to get him to this point but doesn't seem to be able to advance Pavlik past this point. Maybe adding or changing trainers would be a good option. Also Pavlik needs to be more active, too many layoffs due to his hand but the guy needs to consistently be active.
