The same is true with height and reach. Speed is something that can be refined though, so that can be a skill.

Judah certainly has speed. I've already said in this thread that I feel like his power is quite overrated. He was able to hurt people, but not get them out of there, and his finishing technique is... far from skillful. His footwork is atrocious beyond belief. Really... all he has that is world class is speed. However, he is also predictable as hell, because a skill he never learned is punch variety to keep the opponent guessing.

Pacquiao has learned excellent footwork, and his biggest gift is punching variety, with the exclamation point of ridiculous angles intensifying it.

I honest to god think this is one of the more absurd questions I've heard asked on here (that was meant to be a serious discussion), and I'm a bit sick to my stomach that so many people have answered in Judah's favor. It just makes less than no sense to me.
The Bold pretty much enforces what I said. If Judah would've been in the hands of a decent trainer, he couldve been miles better than what he has become. Pac couldve been in the same boat as Judah had he not met Roach. Both fighters had tons of potential but Judah never met anyone who could bring the best out of him. Is Pac the Pac of today without Roach? Is he even fighting right now without Roach? Or better yet, Would Pac be Pac of today if he had Yoel Judah as his trainer?

Also, you'd be surprised if you realized the correlation between hand/foot size and athletic prowess. Being an athlete myself Ive had unusual measurement taken by schools, organizations, teams etc. Length of my femur, neck width, palm span, trunk length.I know wtf right? The question is highly subjective, I answered in terms of if both fighters were on a level playing field, same trainers, opponents, weight classes I believe Judah would be the more successful of the two.

Most people seem to be mistaking technique with skill, and since Judah has the rep of a "flashy boxer" (which he really isn't at all... he's someone who just relies on speed), they automatically assume he's more skillful than Pacquiao, who comes forward.

You are actually saying that when it comes to raw, untapped potential, Judah had more, and the only reason he wasn't top 20 ATG is because he had a ****ty trainer.

      Extremely bold.

        Not so much.

Judah is the Rasheed Wallace of the boxing world. He has the physical tools to have been 10x the fighter that he ended up being.

Manny is the opposite. He is the Doug Flutie of boxing. He isnt as blessed in the department of physical tools but his heart and desire are rarely match by any fighter. He has become 10x the fighter he was supposed to be.

Pacquiao, Judah had and has some nice moves but he isn't on Pacquiao's level skillwise.

Pacquiao has better skills and conditioning.

            Pac >>>>>>> Judah

                Judah has always been overrated.

He never had the talent to be a great fighter, time to give it up.

Whatever. Judah will never be as great as Pacquiao. Fact.

Judah had his heart and skills in the right place, no doubt about it. He would hurt Pac in the early rounds but the mental picture of him being knocked out by Pac may well be his undoing. He would have to overcome that deficiency if he were to beat Pac...skills-wise.
