I think it's safe to say that Cotto can easily and comfortably make 151 lbs. This isn't like the 144lb catchweight from before.

The point is.....

it is only a JMW fight if both participants can weight up to 154.....

If the maximum weight restriction is less than 154, then it becomes a catch-weight fight..... so should not be a title fight for a 154lb belt.

Folks are complaining coz it really looks like this a CHEAP way for Manny to get his 8th divisional title..... and fighting an opponent that you already beat (at a catch-weight to boot)..... IS a cheap way to go about this.

Maybe if Manny were to unify or defend then folks might soften their opinion on this one..... but then again, maybe not

It drives me nuts when they make the title of an article sound like it came from the fighters own mouth. Besides that, by saying "Pacquiao likes the idea of a Cotto REVENGE rematch" it makes it sound like Pacuquiao wants revenge... If they worded it in the correct context, it would have to say "Pacquiao likes the idea of Cotto trying to get revenge in a rematch", which would sound as dumb as it really is.

I like Pac, but this is cherry picking at it's finest.

This is just Koncz talking on behalf of Manny, yet again. TBH, I'd be more inclined to believe that the conversation between Manny and Koncz went more like this: Koncz "Here's your tea Manny. Would you like me to fluff your pillow, and wouldn't you love to have Cottos 154 pound title?" Manny "yes, that would be nice."

everyone on team pac (except pac himself) is speaking and entertaining the idea to possibel future fights, all pac is doing is being open to all the possibilities...dont blame pac, blame his handlers/promotor, and/or the people that is consistantly talking to the media

I agree. It sounds to me like Koncz is the one that is pushing Manny to fight Cotto, like he would get some kind of commision for getting Manny to agree. Koncz has been all over the media trying to make himself sound relevant. Mannys so called "personal advisor" is not advizing him well. Hopefully he has someone that really cares about him, even Jinky, that will say "Hell no Manny, nobody wants to see this!"
