Edit: He did beat Toney but Toney was 200 at camp and came late to camp. Toney was dry the first 5 roundsof w hole fight, not a drop of water on his body = signs of dehydration.

Toney had dehydration vs Roy, and lost, but that doesn't mean he lost because he was dehydrated. Toney never had a moment in the fight. Toney supposedly wasn't dehydrated vs Nunn, and was embarrassed by him until he lucked up and got the KO (not to say Toney was lucky, it was a result of skill, but Toney was lucky he got the KO because he was on his way to a UD loss). Roy's hands are a bit better than Nunn's and his footspeed/movement is clearly better. Roy's style is bad for Toney. Toney's a very skilled guy all-time, but even if he was hydrated vs Roy, he still would have lost. Roy was too focused for that fight.

i actualy think JT was a little overrated when u think about it bros. Nunn was boxin his head off, Tiberi clearly beat him, mCcALLUM was about 40 in 92 and was beating JT, Barkley was past it by 93 get real, then RJ handed him his ass, then Griffin beat him in his next fight when JT couldnt of been dehydrated at the heavier wieght class, then JT started fightin for WBU belts after his back to bac losses ??

JT is a great counterpuncher and has brilliant naturaly boxing ability and natural sport ability it seems, but he was overrated ! How ccould ppl rate JT as p4p no.1 when you had Pernell about ?? also Benn and Eubanks were lookin pretty good, Nunn was still around as well and they were all in the same division as the champs, and the Gman was the most fearsome fighter around at the time and he was a champ with RJ in the division below. JT was lucky to be p4p no.1 he didnt deserve that IMO

If there was only one belt and one set of top 10 then Roy wouldnt have had Dariusz Michalczewski out there chilling in europe with a belt claiming to also be the best, there would be only one and it would have forced that fight. Not saying Roys fault it didnt happen but you get chit like that because you have 4 champions (somehow even more these days) in a division and each ABC organization has their separate top 10 rankings who all like to keep their own lists, so you got almost 40 guys in the "top 10" at the weight.

Him talking about floyd not unifying all the belts is laughable when floyd clearly has the better resume and didnt camp out for long periods of time at the same weight fighting guys like David Telesco, I mean look at his resume from 98-2002 does anyone even know who the *** these bums are? having 4 belts with atrocious rankings is what allowed him to camp out like that for 4+ years
