Comments Thread For: Tyson Fury-Vinny Maddalone August Clash on Showtime?

According to an interview with Boxing News Online, unbeaten British heavyweight prospect Tyson Fury (11-0, 9KOs) could be facing veteran Vinny Maddalone (33-6, 24KOs) of New York in the month of August. Maddalone will be a step up for Fury. He's only been stopped by Brian Minto and Evander Holyfield. Fury said there are discussions taking place to stage the fight in the month of August, and Showtime has shown interest in televising the fight in the United States, probably on their ShoBox series.

John McDermott gave Tyson Fury all he could handle in two fights... Vinny Maddalone is better than McDermott.

I find it hard to believe Showtime would waste their time with 2 club fighters at best. I'm just sayin', Vinny Maddalone?!?!?!?!?! lol, lets throw in Brian Minto also

Think Fury is rushing his career. He needs to be thinking about getting a new trainer and some decent sparing first.

Id watch. Madalone is a club fighter, but hes fun to watch. If Fury doesnt dispatch of him easily its safe to say he'll never be big.

Yeah, Maddalone is somewhat fun to watch. He always throws it all down. His fights with Brian Minto were good scraps.
