Is British boxing journalism dead?

Always look up fightwriter on a friday he gets alot of his predictions right and i mean even sometimes predicting the correct ending that man knows his boxingI think Boxing News and Boxing Monthly regularly feature good articles.
Graham Houston (http://www.fightwriter.com/) is often worth a read as well.Comment

That was de****able. I heard it said during the post fight commentary.Gavin Evans actually said that David Haye was the fastest heavyweight since Muhammad Ali.

I'm sure there are good boxing writers in the UK as well though. Some of the best insight I've heard from boxing writers in the UK come on smaller websites or even forums, it's a shame that some of the best stuff out there is unread for the most part and we get laughable statements (like the one about Haye above) from the more well known writers. That's not just a UK thing.Comment

His description of Haye beating Ruiz makes him sound like a Haye nuthugger, IMO.I think Boxing News and Boxing Monthly regularly feature good articles.

What newspaper would you fellas say give good coverage to Boxing?
I only read the Daily Mirror and the Liverpool Echo. The Echo has a page every Saturday on local and world boxing, and the Mirror has a piece every Saturday by Mcguigan but apart from that i never see any Boxing news in the papers.Comment

you should learn the difference between opinions and facts. Not only was the article factually incorrect from start to finish, but the journalist must have known he was making stuff up, which is de****able.Comment

They have some good articles but those are outnumbered by the blatantly nuthugging ones. I used to subscribe to Boxing Monthly, but cancelled because I got so sick of the nuthugging. Houston knows his boxing but is as guilty of nuthugging as anyone, which means he's not a proper journalist, in my book. Proper journalism doesn't mean you have to be completely unbiased, but it does mean you have to be objective, and not make up "facts" to suit your biases.I think Boxing News and Boxing Monthly regularly feature good articles.
