Justify what exactly? That you guys would chat the samething that you have been chatting since 2004? That you guys jump and accuse a pro boxer of been scared blah blah blah? Now tell me again how is a pro boxer at this level scared of each other?Comment

We don't know if that's actually the case. I suspect it's just Arum putting some public pressure on Floyd to cave to his demands. If they have really resolved both the purse and testing issues though then I expect Floyd to sign in due time (you know he will make everyone sweat before he signs just because he can).
No excuses for Floyd... he's very difficult to deal with as a fighter and in contract negotiations... it's all about Floyd getting what Floyd wants... even if its asking for the absurd... (purse splits in his favor or OST when none is required..) And for the most part he's always gotten his way (except for Oscar and now it appears PAC as well)
It doesnt take much to set Floyd off..... "no test... no fight..." he stated after the Mosley fight about fighting PAC.
So if this contract was the best that could be done for both fighters..... wouldn't it make sense that Richard Schaffer of Golden Boy make the announcement? I mean Arum and Mayweather have very little regard for each other and for Arum to come out and say... "the contract is done.... now the only thing holding up the fight is Mayweather...... he has until mid-July or the fight is off"
Something seems off to me.... I hope I'm wrong and Mayweather's signing is just a formality... but I dont think so.
My guess is Mayweather didn't get everything he wanted and Arum ran out of patience waiting for Floyd to come around. Schaffer said if your done negotiating then you make the announcement... because as far as I'm concerned I'm still negotiating for my fighter and he's the one paying me.
Until Mayweather gets what he wants, he is in no hurry to fight PAC because in his mind this fight can happen in November or next year.... and the money will only go up (just my opinion) And I agree that November is not a deadline. This fight can just as easily happen next year... even though I would rather not have to wait any longer.
But from a strictly business standpoint I can't argue with Floyd's contract decisions because he's made the most money he could in each and every fight he's negotiated. Its not pretty..its frustrating... its aggravating.... but the truth is Floyd knows how to get the most money from each and every fight.
Because of his style of business Floyd is definitely not a fan favorite.... and its the part of him I dislike the most.... and his legacy will suffer for it......Last edited by tacoboxer; 07-01-2010, 10:05 AM.Comment

imo, he will say "manny had his chance 2 fight me and he blew it. now im gonna take a yr or 2 off". he can blame the fight not happening on roid boy and sit up in his big boy mansion til hes broke again. then he will come back.Comment

Your posting all over the place and yet you are choosing not to respond to my question....
You question Floyd Fan logic and yet your so so so silent about supporting your post about Mosley being an old... once upon a time fighter...
here is my original response to your post:
Then why did Freddie Roach say to Shane when he came to the Wild Card Gym that Pac wouldn't fight Shane at 147... because there wasnt enough money and shane was too good? (see quotes 7minutes into video)
Im all for you pulling for your guy but you cant have it both ways......
On record...Freddie passed on Mosely as a Pac opponent because he was too much for Pac at 147...(by the way Mayweather did just fine financially fighting Mosley)
So who is right you or Freddie Roach?
Seems to me that Freddie knows a little more about boxing than all of us combined!Last edited by tacoboxer; 07-01-2010, 10:24 AM.Comment

here is the link again.... look at Roach's quote at 7min
"Shane... can you make 142-143? if not there is no fight".
"we can make twice as much money fighting Cotto as opposed to Mosley"
