Soto should have never moved up. He should have stayed down and battled it out with the likes of Rocky Martinez where his punching power is actually a factor.

IMHO Barrera is gonna school him. Marco is more crafty than people give him credit for I think. I got a hunch that he's gonna embarrass Soto.

Maybe 5 year ago this would have been a classic fight that could have been built up to all the Mexican boxing fans. Soto is looking slower, and trying to be more of a technical fighter, now that his power is also fading.

Barrera can't make weight, Top Rank had to pay his last opponent to take the fight out of the agreed weight. But looked better than most people though he was going to looked.

This fight interest me a lot though because Humberto Soto came up being trained by Erik 'EL TERRIBLE' Morales.

Peterson who? Peterson, the guy who's been his mandatory for months, who stepped aside so he could fight Dominiguez, yet he still shows no interest in the fight. And I hate when people talk about fighters having no names. How else are they going to build up their names without fighting? Everyone gets their name by taking out a worthy opponent at some point, unless they're hyped up and they appear to live up to the hype.

But there's no problem at this point. Peterson fights Rios, Soto fights Barrera, and the winners meet up or else the Soto-Barrera winner has to vacate and Peterson fights for the vacant title. So problem solved.

It would be a great fight between to great warriors from Mexico! Both have an even chance of winning. Their common opponent is Rocky Juarez. Sotto and Barrera have fought a tough battle with Juarez.

Yeah, betting on him would be pretty worrying. The thing is that he looks stronger at the weight than Soto and he's a better boxer than Soto.

He's only been clearly beaten by very fast fighters and Soto is not fast. The fact is that Soto is just converting to a boxer role and has been bullied by Jesus Chavez and David Diaz in his only fights at 135. At the very least, Barrera's gonna make it a close fight.

Different situation. Soto's trying to get big fights at this point in his career. And I'm serious. Peterson who?

Nobody cares about him. I've only seen him fight once a long time ago back on ESPN, and if he's anything like his brother, he's probably boring.

So again, why should Soto fight Peterson? He was in line to fight guys like Valero (rip) before he passed and now you want him to fight some guy nobodies ever heard of?

Peterson should do himself a favor and earn some recognition before getting all mouffy about fighting someone like my main man Hoooooooooooomberto.

Doubt he even beats him. So lets put this baby to rest until he wins his next fight.
