^^Dude I can understand you mentioning Donaire LooezGamboa and Pavlik, but when has Cotto ever run or hidden from anybody. Say what ever you want abput the other four top rank duckers, but you got nothing on Cotto, peace!

He's never taken two tough fights in a row except with Pacquiao and Clottey. Everything else has been good fighters sandwiched in between bums. But you're right, he has fought better guys than the fighters I mentioned.

Its really ashame that a SBW prospect is willing to fight Caballero, but the big names at 126 aren't. And the funny thing is, Caballero is the one on the p4p list, not Gamboa or Juanma. If Juanma had said he's willing to take the fight later on, then I'd have no problem with him fighting Marquez first but he's completely denying the possibility of ever fighting Caballero.

If Juanma or Gamboa can get past Caballero, they get a spot on the p4p list. Isn't that right there enough? And its not like neither one stands a chance against him. Juanma has power capable of knocking him out, and Gamboa has the skills, power and speed capable of outboxing him. So why not take a shot?

Top Rank met with HBO not all that long ago to talk about some fights for the summer. One was Gamboa against Celestino Caballero, an outstanding featherweight bout, which was ticketed for the July 24 card. HBO made a legitimate offer for the fight (between $650,000 and $750,000) and Top Rank then made a half-hearted effort to make it, even admitting to me that what was offered to Caballero and promoter Lou DiBella was probably not enough to get the fight done (about $250,000). So be it, but Top Rank's Bob Arum is now telling people that Caballero priced himself out of the fight, which is simply not true (shocking, right?). The reality is that Gamboa and Top Rank simply don't want to make the fight right now. They know how tough of a fight it is. Top Rank wouldn't even give HBO a number that it needed to get for the fight after telling the network that the initial offer wasn't enough.

Is it really true that even Solis won't fight Caballero? Top Rank is a garbage promotion company that babies all their guys from Donaire, Lopez, Gamboa, Pavlik, and Cotto every other fight. I don't understand why Arum doesn't want to increase the marketability of his guys by having them fight a guy ranked top ten P4P. Being ranked P4P helps you get known to the fans.

And the story alludes to the fact that it's well known that Caballero will go outside of his comfort zone to fight unlike all these other sissy asses.

Vazquez doesn't deserve that. He's still a prospect to me, and he's a SBW. He should get some fights in, win a title there and then move up. The guys at FW should be the ones fighting Caballero. I mean if they wanna get some more fights in then fine, but completely dismissing the only one whose actually on the p4p list just isn't right...
