if youv watched the hitman throughout his career you will know that body punching is his forte and if tito beat mayorga with an assault to the body then i think ricky will beat him...im not comparing ricky to tito just pointing out that ricky is a devistating body puncher.

obviously if they were to meet it would be at 147 and this could take a little power out of rickys punches but with his work rate and crunching body punches i see late round stoppage or UD.
I've watched Mayorga's recent career fights over the last few years and the whole of Hatton's career. I just dont see why anyone could pick Mayorga to win, i'd maybe back him if the odds were good but as a 50/50 decision i'd say Hatton everytime.

Tito was once a great fighter but i think a lot of people have forgotten what made Tito a superstar in the first place, he's far worst a fighter now then he's ever been, his current balance is terrible for a top class fighter but even a shadow of his former self dominated Mayorga, then you have to consider how Winky dominated Tito. A top class fighter will beat Mayorga's ass, even a decent but nothing special fighter like Spinks beat Mayorga's ass when he stuck to his game plan.

Hatton doesn't have one-punch power at 140. Mayorga DID have it at 147.

Hatton weighs about 1457 around fight time. Mayorga weighs about 160.

Mayorga took Tito's punches dead on the chin for 8 rounds. Hatton never has and never will face a murderous puncher like Tito because he has the luxury of being a 140 lbs fighter.

This is a simple answer. Mayorga would stop Hatton. However tough Hatton is, Mayorga is that much tougher. Hatton has nothing to discourage Mayorga. Forrest, who is a better boxer than Hatton, got stopped and lost a decision to Mayorga in two fights. Forrest was the only one to give Mayo problems from a boxing standpoint, and Hatton has NONE of the advantages that Forrest enjoyed over Mayorga (height, reach, jab, etc.).

And if you think Hatton will beat Mayo by brawling and getting in his grill, then you may be best friends with Crack *******.
You're seriously overating Mayorga that much? I thought you had a pretty decent eye. KT is easily in the same ball park p4p as Tito when it comes to power, and he's a lot more effective at landing his shots. And how do you know that Mayorga's that much tougher than Hatton?

What makes you think that Hatton would walk onto his slow looping bombs anyway when he has just avoided Tszyu's accurate, quick ones for 11 rounds?

Mayorga has negligible technique and would be heavily outlanded. If you think that Hatton is that light of a puncher that even that sort of volume would have no effect on Mayorga and that he would just walk through Hatton's shots for 12 rounds then it sounds like you're the one hitting the pipe my friend. Taking Tito's bombs says nothing about Mayorga's resistance to the sustained body attack that Hatton would apply. Mayorga would struggle to win a round without a KD and there's no guarantee that he'd get one. Hatton's chin has only ever looked very solid and moving up to 147 would only benefit Hatton's game, assuming he retains his speed.

Bruising fight but wide points margin for Hatton.

I pick Hatton for the reason that mayorga tends to be very ****y to the point of being ****** most of the time. Remember his fight against tito?
