Has only ever lost two Barrera, both times were close, and their second fight was very controversial.

He's never been knocked down and has one of the best chins ever seen at lighter weights.

Barrera has been dominated and KOed on more than one occasion...Morales hasn't.

Erik is a more versatile fighter. He can take the lead and box using his range, he can sit back and counter punch beautifully, or he can go to war whenever he feels like it.

He could potentially be the first Mexican 4 class world champ at lighter weights. He is ambitious and it seems like everyone else is chasing him up the ranks.

He is fearless and NEVER puts on a bad show....he has a heart the size of Mexico.
i agree well said even while in between barerra fights morales goes out and fights a top notch fighter like hernandez not many people do that. Barerras last fight was a joke and his next fight is looking like the same thing while morales is reportadly set to challenge the IBF lightweight champion levander johnson in the main event with manny pacquao vs kevin kelley or carlos hernandez on the undercard.

Umm please dont say that stuff when i say this but the only reason that fight was looked at reasonably close was because morales went southpaw in the 12th if he had boxed that round and won he wouldve won 116-112 on all cards. A uanimous decision usually means the judges got it right and in this one i thought the scores were closer than they shouldve been.

morales and pacquio are so much tuffer than barrera. barrera fighting all thes *******. morales look at morales last 4 fights ok. faces chavez n wins a tought fight, then hernandez in a tough fight, then barrera III, then pacquio!! like all fight of the year candidates n ***in hard fuoght victories. barrera tho, ayala, the morales, then that **** gy.
pacqiou faced lucero, then KO'd barrera, went on against marqeuz where most ppl thought he won, had a tuneup match, then faced morales.

                  so pacqoui hands down

simply put, to the present day, it'd have to be Barrera simply because of his high calibur fights and that he's more known to the general boxing fans than pacquiao is.

I didn't think the Morales-Pacquiao fight was even close. Everybody knew if it went to the cards, Morales had it by a large margin. Pacquiao was only gonna win by KO. I can't believe the scores were so close, 7 rounds to 5 on all three cards. I woulda said more like 9 to 3. Lots of close rounds, but Morales was winning them.
