Cotto should not be hated by anyone here - im tired of the haters

Cotto isn't as courageous as Tito when in trouble.

That might put some people off on him but I can't deny that he faced the best he could win or lose.

Just didn't always look pretty or warrior-like doing it.


At times I think Cotto was a bully who couldn't stand up to being bullied.

At other times, I think here;s a guy who fought everyone he could win or lose.

Kind of tough to argue.

But I think part of that is cause I don't know if we've seen Tito in the kind of trouble we've seen Cotto in.

Tito got dropped a bunch, but mostly cause of balance, so he came up guns blazing and had the power to get up and knock somebody out.

Cotto's been dropped where he was hurt twice....once against Torres and the second time against Pac.

We just never saw Tito take sustained punishment from a puncher. He did against Winky, but Winky isn't much of a puncher.

Against Margarito he just got the fight beaten out of him...pretty much the same against Pac. But it's impossible to say he didn't fight those fights to win.

its kind of hard to not like cotto. he catches some negative heat due to bob arum IMO. cotto always came to fight and having my friend manny in his corner will help him a lot. the sparring will be top notch. but i dont think he should fight pac again.

No doubt Cotto deserves respect.

Dude has literally never been in a boring fight.

He comes to fight and he's vulnerable. It results in drama. People can ***** about him back peddling, or taking a knee, but they are entertained all the same.

When Cotto fights, something exciting is gonna happen...it's virtually a guarantee.

I like making fun of Cotto for the fun of it, but you're 100% spot on. When he fights I consider it must see tv win or lose.

I can tell. The only fight where I think he was fighting to just survive was against Pac.

Against Margarito, I legit think he like didn't even really know what was going on, he was just ****ing done.

But against Pac, I mean he fought his ass off in the first half of the fight, and I think he just knew he couldn't sustain that pace and tried to survive.

Against every other opponent he's fought his heart out. Against Clottey....that was a nasty gash.

And people unjustly give him **** about the Mosley fight. His pressuring style is his own worst enemy. I mean, going back to his fights against Abdulaev and N'dou....when he's fighting guys that are just not gonna go anywhere, he boxes, and because of how he bullies some guys, people look at that as running or being soft, when really it's just being smart.

IMO tito was the man!!!!! he got up off the mat several times and ko'd his opponet. he worked good with tito sr, and he never gave up. b-hop took him to school and he never gave up in that fight. plus tito was a true gentleman when it came to the fans. he took pics forever and signed everything you gave him. im a huge tito fan.
