How about Williams when he fought Martinez? Or Gatti against countless guys? Or Marciano against Walcott? Those guys are warriors.

Now Cotto stans get out your red K. Oh, I forgot. About half of you don't have any to give. Lol.

I always said you had a man crush on Cotto and now you are throwing around "Hellos". That is so girly like of you. LOL

But against Pac, I mean he fought his ass off in the first half of the fight, and I think he just knew he couldn't sustain that pace and tried to survive.

Against every other opponent he's fought his heart out. Against Clottey....that was a nasty gash.

And people unjustly give him **** about the Mosley fight. His pressuring style is his own worst enemy. I mean, going back to his fights against Abdulaev and N'dou....when he's fighting guys that are just not gonna go anywhere, he boxes, and because of how he bullies some guys, people look at that as running or being soft, when really it's just being smart.
        Savor..

Honestly..you are my favorite fellow Cotto fan on this site bro..you speak with knowledge and sense...which is rare around these parts..

What surprised me more about the Mosley-Cotto fight, wasn't that Cotto began to Box going back and effectively winning atleast 2 of the 4 rounds he did it in, but the fact that Kellerman and Steward were shocked like they've never seen Cotto do it before..I immediately thought of the N'dou fight..and they were the "professionals"..I know they won't remember every fight punch for punch..but COME ON!.

Than the haters here called him a "runner"...shame..

Cotto is the true definition of modern day warrior, only person he didn't acknowledge that I can think of was Paul Williams..but who can blame him, I still wouldn't be surprised if I saw that fight made at 154 in the future..Cotto won't turn down a fight..I don't see who can hate that..

I've always admired cotto and thats the god's honest truth. I just don't think he's as special a fighter as advertised. He is a very good elite fighter but i don't consider him great but none the less he is a warrior in the ring and he has some heart.
when did he avoid mayweather at 140?

23 yet so immature..dammit what's this world coming to?..

A Warrior is someone who won't turn away from a challenge..A Warrior is someone who doesn't look to take advantage on the scales..A Warrior fights to win every fight he's in..even if he KNOWS he has no chance..

kneeling an "running" is what keeps Cotto from being a Warrior..

name someone with a similar or better resume of fighters who's a Warrior in your eyes..

I always point to the Abdullaev fight as the perfect example of Cotto putting on a boxing clinic.
These guys act like he was this straight forward monster all the time and when he switches his style up hes all of a sudden hes a coward and a runner? get real.
Cotto always had a nice balance of boxing/slugging/pressure and should never be defined as just one of those type of fighters.
The people who talk the most **** are obviously the people who havent followed him throughout his entire career and they never got to see the different aspects of his game.

I also feel that with the Pacman Fight Cotto really missed not having Evangilista in his corner, and he just didnt have a good motivator or somebody to help him out with a Plan B.
Hopefully now Manny Steward is the man that can change all of that for Miguel

In 2005... his handlers said that Cotto wasn't ready.

Fair statement... he went to the Olympics 4 years after Mayweather, and probably wasn't ready for the P4P #1 at that point.

I don't fault him for it, or think any less of him for that. That was merely being realistic about things at that time.
