i believe in steward as a very capable and gifted trainer and can help turn the tide in a cotto-pacquiao rematch. i think he'd do boxing a great serivce if he joined the mayweather camp. but first he needs to rid it of its cynics. or cynic? that way nobody's gonna say "floyd's gonna whoop somebody ass" without climbing in the ring.

If he didnt get knocked down twice by going toe to toe with pac he might of had a better chance because after the 2nd knockdown he out of it in survival mode.

while i dont disagree with the majority of your post, i do think your off base by saying fighting oscar at 147 was a non issue. oscar had'nt fought at 147 in at least 7 years and per contract had to wt 147 on fight nite. this was a major disadvantage for DLH. he wasnt strong enough to defend him self. and his vaunted left hook was on empty. oscar was set up and he took the bait and got beat up for it.

Very true.. people give manny all this credit for beating up on Oscar as if he was in the best shape of his life. Was it that long ago? I mean did people forget that delahoya was totally dehydrated, never gained a lb on fight night, hasn't been at that weight in many years and.. oh ya pretty much a retired boxer.. but hey Oscar agreed to the fight and so it is what it is.. but I don't think cotto coming down a lb or two was a problem for him..

Somebody said Manny scared of Juan Manuel Marquez trilogy. You mean the same guy that hit the canvas in those fights so many times, I thought he was watching the fight with me on my couch. Manny knocks out Cotto, Marquez and gives Floyd and apron so he can dance on a pole.
