There is NOTHING wrong with Floyd facing Martinez at a catch weight.

Who wanted the catchweight? Pacquaio or Cotto? You're trying to make it seem like this was for Cotto's benefit. If Cotto had his way it would have been at 147. So no, 145 was not HIS number.

Catchweight or no catchweight....we dont care if floyd faces martinez later on...we care about seeing floyd / pac for P4P #1 Place and supremacy....everything else is in deal but floyd being himself wants more then a 50-50 split even after pac accepted the 14 day deal which is now apparently expired but when floyd fighted mosley he had a 18 day window deal??? if Pac and Floyd fight and if floyd win or lose then i wouldnt mind watching him fight martinez then....

When I read the thread title I thought it was meant as sarcasm. Then I read the thread author and realized he was dead serious. Then I laughed.

this is in no way about Martinez and his choice in fact I commend him like I did Cotto for taking a fight regardless of the silly issues being put in front of him
People do not realize how "little" some guys get paid. If your sergio and you are 34 you'll fight floyd at 150 because no one else can guarantee him $5 mil plus.

Will you criticize Floyd for making JMM fight @ 144 (and originally wanting it at 147)

Will you criticize Floyd for making Hatton fight at 147?

Or is it "different" when it comes to Floyd? Am I about to see fight nights weights and all that jazz because its "different" when it comes to Floyd?

We're not talking about his fight with Clottey. Different training camp, different fight. The fight with Margarito he came in at 147. So? That has nothing to do with it. And the limit for Clottey was 147, not 145.
