Think about how much he made in his Oscar, Haton and other fights before he retired. It only took him less than two years spending all he earned and went bankrupt after that. So how many years do you think will last those 40 million now? Floyd extravagant and flashy life style and throwing money at strip clubs like nothing..let say maybe less than a year? What do you think?
How do you think the Forbes report will affect purse split for Mayweather/Pacquio

No, it doesn't. This is boxing...not golf or tennis.Comment

We have all had a lot of discussions about how the money will be split. Just wondering what, if any, affect the income rankings put out by Forbes will have on negotiations. Since its clear Mayweather is the more lucrative fighter do you think its reasonable for the purse split to be equal?
Like I said on the other thread, Floyd will ask atleast 70/30 in his favor to run ofcourse. If he fights Pacman for atleast 55/45 then I might be wrong that he isn't gay.Comment

I think the Forbes report is just a reflection of Floyd being the much bigger draw. Realistic people knew that already. It is a report based on the current situation.
The numbers are the same that Ellerbe/Schaefer/Oscar/Taffet have been saying. So it's not "new news" to them. They are negotiating already based on that same info.
If anything, I think the report merely helps the objective casual boxing fan understand why Floyd deserves 60%.Comment
