Shoot, Tyson was an excellent finisher as well, he just didn't have enough opponents that were able to get up and take more.

I think Julian was WBA 154 champ and WBC 160 champ, good fighter Remember his KO's over Norris and Graham? The guy had sick punch power in that right hand of his.

Your right in a way he had as good a one punch power as I have ever seen!

Actually a fighter best chance may be when Jackson hurt you because his chin was so bad he left hiomslef open...

McClellan and McCallum were the only ones to beat a prime Jackson I think Quincy Taylor ko'd him late in his career.

I guess Jackson didnt need to finsih fighter off his power was that awesome...better than a Hearns or Tito...it was out of this world one punch power...too bad that chin was made of china!

I remember the only fight that I was suprised Tito didnt finish someone off after crushing them early was with Vargas. I thought for sure Vargas was done. But in Tito fashion after being down he came back and stopped Vargas late.

I think what stopped Vargas the most was his conditioning.Trinidad got him clean and followed up nicely but Vargas was still fresh and couldnt finish him. He faded late also in the Oscar fight. In the trinidad fight the low blows had a lot to do also.

Why hasnt anyone names Julio Cesar Chavez SR. with a record like W 108 87 ko's, you have to put him up there as one of the best finishers of all time.

Diego the thing with Tyson is that he didn't know how to deal with a clinch. I watched him hurt Jesse Fergussan numerous times in their fight only to be foiled from finishing the job by Turd Fergussan's incessant clinching. Dempsey and Louis were never stopped from getting their way by a guy merely holding them. They were superb infighters and could knock you out from six inches away.

Tyson had dangerous power and handspeed, and hit from many angles with vicious combinations exploding from mid range, but merely smothering him up close and grabbing him around the chest would guarantee survival. For a short guy, he just wasn't a very good inside fighter and was suprisingly easy to manhandle despite his herculean physique. The same just wasn't true with Dempsey or Louis.

because a Mexican fighter can never just lose without an excuse, right? I mean, no way in hell Castillo or Vargas or Morales or Barrera ever lose legitimately unless they face each other, right? pathetic
