On the level that Woods beat or Gonzales beat.

Dude, it's not even close and you can't make a case for it.
I tend to think that at that point they would be about even in what level of comp either could compete against, it doesn't matter what they were able to have done in the past though of course they had beaten better comp.

Why are you putting so much emphasis on namesake and past accomplishments?

Is that Khan win over MAB a fantastic one because wow he beat Naz like 7-8 years before that?

This is a classic "running up hill" type argument. It can't really be qualified in any way since the version of Gonzalez and Woods Cloud beat were shot to literal ****.

Especially Gonzalez who looked worse than Jeff Lacy.

Just because both had good wins 10 years ago, doesn't make Cloud's win any better cuz' he didn't fight the versions that won those fights. He beat a couple of cadavers that resembled the old versions.

Its like if Ricky Hatton came back and fought Tim Bradley, would you consider that a good win?

      I sure as hell wouldn't.

Thanks, I try... sometimes... I like Cloud and Jacobs, but it's clear to me. Too much emphasis is placed on age sometimes like in Dawson's case, as if Tarver hadn't been Ring top 10 at 175 for 10 years straight and Johnson for 7 and still going.

Btw Cloud is just the new Jeff Lacy with less hype.

I love how you don't comment on their wins in the last 4 years and resort to 9 years.

When you know they beat better comp.

How many times does a veteran school a prospect?

          Answer plenty.

I don't know why you disregard that and act like Woods didn't have a good fight in 10 years.

Keep trotting out Ishe Smith and playing the youth card.

I disagree. Cloud has developed solid skills to match his talent.

He's been facing similar styles though. So I would like to see how he does against different styles, but anyone that can shoulder roll, put up 60-80, has good power, speed, and wears leopard print trunks is a star in the making.

Its interesting to me how Cloud is viewed as a world class top 5 LHW and Danny is still a MW prospect when Ishe Smith & Mike Walker to me seems about as good as 40 yr old Woods and 40 yr old even more past it Gonzales.

Is the only difference between them in terms of status a vacant paper strap that Cloud won?

              polling coming
Cloud doesn't fight enough. That's his problem.

He wanted to be a star before he earned it.

              That's my gripe with him.

Once a year is about his average, I was interested too but then we just stopped hearing from him after the Gonzales win until a year later.

A lot of that has less to do with their actual talent and more with the fact that that division has been dead for a while.

4 years is an eternity in boxing, especially with guys like Gonzalez and Woods who've been through the meatgrinder in their careers.

I am still waiting to hear about Jacobs historic wins.

I told Spray and I will tell you, Michael Walker is from the Chi. If he was worth anything at all, I would rep him incredibly hard.

Hell, I know friends of his. But, I don't rep him.

That should tell you how I rate him and he's among Jacobs best comp so far.
