if the fight happens at a catch weight...dont get mad at anyone but cotto. dont hate the messenger, hate the one who agreed to the terms, right? come on guys we all saw cotto get beat around like a punching bag. if cotto fight pac again at 150 and gets beat he has no one to blame but himself. he wanted the fight at 147 and that seemed fair now 150 doesnt seem fair a couple of months later...if catch weights really do affect cotto in such a negative way, then why would he accept? im just saying if he does accept and gets knocked again, get mad at him. FOR ACCEPTING THE TERMS.

im a fan of cotto, but im fair and try to be unbiased...dont get mad at nyone but cotto, hell when my favorite team loses a game i get mad at the team...so if cotto loses and im rooting for cotto i get mad at cotto. luckliy for me, i mean if i was rooting for cotto that is..i have a reason to be mad at him not just misplaced anger but a mistake out of his camp...accepting to terms of a catch weight resulting in his loss.
but i feel pacquiao is the superior fighter and would beat cotto regardless.
isnt a matter of catchweights really, im just stating...i think if anyone here feels catchweights are the only reason cotto losses to pacquiao then blame cotto not pacquiao. :bukkake:

I am completely against this...The point of a catch weight is for two fighters in two separate divisions to meet up at an even ground and see who is the better fighter of the two in a normal bout. But if you're moving up and fighting for a damn world title, fight at the weight limit! If you can't fight at the limit then don't fight for the title, simple as that. Otherwise you're just a paper titlist. Don't get me wrong, I think Pac would KO Cotto in like 7 or 8 rounds at 154, but that's besides the point. These catch weights are pointless and since when is it okay to get advantages in a fight? It makes you look like a coward. For example, Pac was fine with fighting Clottey and De La Hoya at 147, but not with fighting Cotto there. And the sad part is, those two lbs wouldn't have even made a difference so its pointless. It just shows that he doubts himself.
Cotto should just unify with Cory Spinks, and Pac should fight Margo if the Floyd fight doesn't happen.Last edited by BoxerDood; 06-29-2010, 11:44 AM.
