        I would induct him in.

        The resume speaks for itself.
        Classy guy in general.
I dont even remember the last time i've heard cherry picking and cotto in the same sentence.
Never heard a peep of complaint coming from the guy's mouth about his opponents.
A 3 division champ like trinidad.
NY's #1 ticket selling boxer in history.

I ask you,win or lose what fight have you seen recent that isnt exciting about cotto? Matter of fact, what would boxing be with out the fights of miguel cotto?

Yep...^^^i like what andyp513 had to say. Even though I think boxing would be boxing with or w/o him, he definitely adds greatly to the sport. I also think it might take a bit of time after he retires. They're not going to induct him right away.

I think he'd eventually get in. I just hope he goes on a tear, unifys 154 or wins a couple belts at 147 againest elite competition. Fighting Chavez Jr, or any other non worthy name will only hurt him.

I'd vote for him. If JMM can get in, then there's absolutely no reason why Cotto can't. JMM's best wins are Salido, a close fight with Barrera, Juarez, Casamayor and Diaz. And of course two controversial fights with Manny Pacquiao. Cotto's resume can match that. I mean its not like the Manny who Cotto fight wouldn't KO Marquez within 6 rounds right now.

He should snatch Spinks' title. But first Spinks needs to actually get in the ring with K9, and Don King seems to be doing everything in his power to prevent that from happening because he's been postponing it so much...By the time Spinks steps in the ring, his legs are gonna be gone if they aren't already lol that'll make it easier for Cotto though.

Yes, his last win sealed it for me

Although his career has, at least, 2-3 great battles left

It would be a shame if he did not get in. For the past 5 years he has been on the short list of big stars in the game. He also has a very impressive resume.

It is those big stars who keep the cogs oiled and keeps the sport alive. Can you think of anything more important than that?

Same with Gatti. Of course he was not the best fighter. He was however one of the most exciting fighters who ever laced up a pair of gloves and he kept the sport pumping with his massive popularity.

It is guys like that who deserve a special place just like Floyd and Manny. The HOF is more suited to fighters who made a real difference and promoted their sport, just as much as the greatness of their abilities.

He's borderline to me right now...a win over Antonio Margarito would put him over the top for me...anything he does after that, short of getting pummeled by D and C list fighters would just sweeten his career
