Does not make him a beast but let the guy fight some real comp now, he already has almost 50 fights, let's not wait till he is 35 with 70 plus fights to fight a guy like Cotto. Let him have his shot, if he loses, then he loses but how much longer should it take for that kind of step up? I understand his opposition has been weak but duddy was decent and Jr did his job, who should he fight to prepare him for Cotto or someone similar?

Good post. It is hard for boxers to get in the ring and do what they do. The kid has potential and if he stays with Roach and dedicates himself to the sport, he would probably do better than some people expect. He is young, and if he decides to continue to chase girls and not take the sport serious, then he would not be able to compete with the top competition out there.

He beat a guy most of us thought he would beat. I didnt think he would beat the **** out of him like he did though. That I did not predict. But do I think he is any good? Nope. I think if he fights a good fighter he loses. Although he already got a gift to save his record once against a bum.

Jr did what he was supposed to do. This was not irrelevant, but I can't say he's going to go on to be great either. Beating Duddy meant that he is better than a club fighter. But is he ready for the top dogs in the division? I think he still needs to step up in comp before we can determine if that's the case. nontheles Jr looked good the other night and he definitely has potential.

Maybe you didn't keeed.....but a whoooooooooooooole lot of people round here said Duddy was going to annihilate him......to demolish him.......a whoooooooole lot of people (where are they now by the way??? hahahha) said he had no chance.....now don't get me wrong im not saying Jr is a beast but just like the dude above me said....he did what he was supposed to do..we won....so far he has don't that 40+ times....sure vs questionable opposition ....but bottom line....it is what it is....
