The question posed is what do Mayweather fans do that is annoying? That's what I addressed. The points about Klitschko, Pacquiao, etc. may be equally as valid, but that wasn't the topic of this thread. No doubt that every major fighter has some obnoxious fans. For me personally, the Mayweather ones bother me more. Then again I'm not claiming to be totally unbiased either.
I can respect that you acknowledge that. And now that you mentioned it, I'm no different. When I don't like a fighter it makes their fans more annoying to me. Cesar Chavez jr comes to mind.

all fans of all athletes/teams everything do the same ****. this has been occuring since the days of gladiators in rome. fans will hype their fighter/teams up and be obnoxious about it. floyd's fans should not make a sports writer hate him, i mean wtf are u writing about him 4 if u think ppl aint gonna write **** back, even if its obnoxious. dougie just hates floyd. and thats cool n all, but call it wat it is, dnt bull****.Comment

80% of Mayweathers fans didn't know who the hell he was b4 they seen him on HBO's 24/7 and fell in love with his ****y, vilian type character. Aside from being a great boxer, he's marketed himself tremendously. Those fans are the 1's Dougie is talking about. So all you real Boxing fans that happen 2 be Mayweather fans because he's a hell of boxer shouldn't take his comments personal.Comment

Speaking for myself, I find many Floyd's fans here to be insufferable. They disrepect anyone who is compared to him or suggested as a worthy challenger. They obsess about how much Floyd makes and how much he draws on PPV. They disrespect past boxing greats by buying into Floyd's hype about being the "best of all time", even though his infrequent fighting and carefully selected opponents don't justify it. They follow Floyd like sheep and believe that Pacquaio is juiced up despite not one shred of evidence indicating it other than his demented father and uncle pointing a finger. They won't accept that Floyd is as much to blame for no Pac fight as Manny is.
When Floyd makes these comments it is easier to take because a) almost everyone knows he moslty does this to hype up the gate for his fights by getting people to pay hoping that he'll lose, and b) Floyd is the one delivering the tremendous talent that he obviously has. That's a lot different than when one of his cult followers or fanboys do the same thing.
So now you have one reply. Hopefully you'll get more.
I cant wait to see pac lose again for those similar reasons.
As far as doug fischer goes
to be fair when he discredits floyd or is not professional its always done in his mail bag. which is the equivalent to a blog. so professionalism is not required because its informal forum in which he interacts with boxing fans.
i have never seen him write anything that is unprofessional about floyd in one of his articles.Comment

Still respect the skill and watch him fight because first and foremost I am a huge boxing fan but i would be lying to you if i didnt admit that the second reason i watch floyd fights is because i want to see him lose
What i have noticed about floyd fans in dougs mailbag is they always criticize his writing when he writes a piece on floyd that is anything short of calling him the greatest fighter to ever lace on a pair of gloves.Comment
