Fair enough but do you see Ricky fighting PBF or Cotto this year?
I dont think they will.........which is basically my whole point, what credible opponents are out there for him in the mean time to keep him active and not get slated?are there any?......personally i think he should remain active and not just wait for the big fights because it could be a while and it will keep him sharp for when his time comes.

Personally the only fight I want to see is Hatton vs Mayweather at 140 anything else is unacceptable. If he fought Maussa he is fighting a champion, he wont his title in a legit manner but still like I said if Hatton doesnt fight Mayweather that says a lot about Hatton as a champion.

Mayweather has been calling out Tszyu and when Tszyu lost that immediately switched over to Hatton. Mayweather wants it and if Hatton wants to be respected world wide it has to happen. Also the fight has to be in the U.S. or any other country except Europe. That will be the true test for Hatton.

Nobody at 140 is acceptable for Mayweather nor Hatton, all of the other top 10 fighters are very green and would lose anyhow.

Hatton vs Mayweather is clearly the fight that HAS to happen at 140 and anything less will be frowned upon.

i would love that fight more than anything because i think it would be absolutley incredible! But i would like Ricky to unify the division first with mayweather moving up and winning at welter then coming back down for a massive blockbuster!

But for arguments sake lets say PBF vs Hatton is made for next spring who would be a good tune up for Ricky?

Nobody would tune up Hatton for a fighter like Mayweather and same goes for Mayweather having a tune up. Nobody at 140 fights like their counterparts. I mean Gatti fought a lot of fights like Hatton but looked what happened when he fought Mayweather.

I truly believe Hatton vs Mayweather would be just like Lamotta vs Robinson and it would probably go both ways numerous times.

That is the only fight at 140 even worth looking at.

To raise his general boxing profile he should make a fight with someone like Castillo, its been mentioned Freitas wants to exercise his rematch clause with Corrales leaving Castillo free to fight anyone. Castillo and Hatton fight like Warriors on the inside and i'd imagine thats where the whole fight would be fought. Castillos got a really high profile and Hatton has proven he can take on and beat the best, that probably the most exciting fight out there.

Failing that i'd like to see Hatton vs Cotto because i dont think Mayweathers really serious about challening Hatton at the moment.
Hatton Vs. Castillo, Hatton TKO on cuts

I don't know if anybody has thought of this but...... I think Hatton V Mayweather would be an awsome fight, however if I was Hatton I would step up to Welter for one fight and 'pound the ****' out of Zab Judah......just for fun and a little warm up for Mayweather!

In all of boxing this is truly the only fight I want to see, nothing makes me lick my chops more so than this fight. Anything else in boxing is obsolete and I dont think any other fight could live up to it. I believe they would bring the best out in each other. However, I would be disappointed as hell if it was one sided from either side of the table but I just dont see that happening.

The similiraties are to close to Robinson vs Lamotta in their styles....That fight would be golden.

the only thing that could make this fight any better is if ricky beats cotto and PBF beats zab and meet after...........**** ME!

Then let the trilogy begin.....1st fight in Cardiff 75,000 capacity open air......then onto MSG and the finale in Las Vegas!

                    I think im nursing a semi!lol

Hatton would destroy Cotto at this point, Cotto is still relatively young. I dont doubt he has potential to be one of the elite (although he is now) but he still has a lot to learn. In another year he will be ready.
