And, the reason it goes back to 83 was cuz Salvador Sanchez the lineal featherweight champ died in 82. So that lineage was broken until Pedroza beat Lockridge in 83.

For years Lennox was the WBC champ that title he got that Bowe threw in the trash. But, that title didn't mean lineal Bowe was still the lineal champ and Lennox won the WBC title but wasn't lineal. He didn't become Lineal until he beat Shannon Briggs who beat Foreman for the title

We all know the WBC title isn't the oldest title. I don't like arguing simple points that we all know. My point has always been that if you trace the title back as far as it goes without deaths or champions dropping titles or titles being stripped titles, and then go forward to today...the WBC has done this, and they have done this well before Floyd was born!
