Most of my favorite fighters come from all over the world, the only thing that matters is what they do in the ring. Nationality and patriotism should have nothing to do with respect.

And, the reason it goes back to 83 was cuz Salvador Sanchez the lineal featherweight champ died in 82. So that lineage was broken until Pedroza beat Lockridge in 83.Last edited by jrosales13; 06-27-2010, 05:19 PM.

For years Lennox was the WBC champ that title he got that Bowe threw in the trash. But, that title didn't mean lineal Bowe was still the lineal champ and Lennox won the WBC title but wasn't lineal. He didn't become Lineal until he beat Shannon Briggs who beat Foreman for the title
And, I can give you more examples.

He won't be able to do it.
The lineal title dates back to the Pedroza in 83. It went Pac>Barrera>Hamed>Vazquez>Rojas>Park>Esparragoza>Cruz>McGuigan>Pedroza

That's what the world "lineal" in lineal champion means to me.
Hell the WBC is not even the oldest title.
The oldest title is the WBA that use to be known as the NBA.
But, neither=lineal.
WBC has nothing to do with being lineal. Sometimes the lineal champ is the WBO, WBA, IBF, IBO, or WBC, or sometimes like in Floyd case right now has not title.
