At the Mohegan Sun Casino in Uncasville, Connecticut, heavyweight Nicolai Firtha (18-7-1, 7 KOs) stopped Tony Grano (17-2-1, 13 KOs) in two rounds. Grano went down from a bomb he never saw coming at the end of the first round. Firtha finished him off in the second with another knockdown and a battering before it was stopped. Nicolai Firtha is not a skillful boxer, but he is a big, powerful man and comes in good shape so the result isn't really surprising.

once again I picked an upset...most people pay no attention to guys with 7 loses...I do because I watch them.I was going to put 10000 points on firtha but didn't think I'd have anyone to bet with.I've been posting stuff recently about firtha & gavern but no one bothers to read up...why because these guys have 7 or 8 loses each.both these guys were late starters & were thrown into the fire vs tough competition.they were suppose to be "opponents" but look what happened.both these guys fought neven pajkic(Canadian champ)who fights next Wednesday vs greg kielsa in a rematch.watch this fight people.these journeyman can sure duke it out.I watched firtha vs tye fields live & it was a fantastic fight with fields knocking him out in 6.pajkic had a decent 8 rounder vs firths too.gavern & firths are the new gatekeepers of the division as I've been saying for weeks.I follow heavyweight boxing since I was 14 & I'm 35 now.I have over 1500 heavyweight fights in their entirety...I know what I'm talking about rather you like my opinion or not

I'm hoping firtha continues to fight decent guys...I'm willing to bet that firtha can upset guys like dimitrenko,sosnowski,Ustinov...he's always gives a good account of himself...when he fought tye fields he was doing well but after the fight he said he was shocked at how quickly fields could cut off the ring.this guy is a good pro.when you see gavern or firthas names come up in fights,I recommend watching them
