Yes. I am still wondering why nary a soul gives Cotto credit for administering Corley his first loss by stoppage. I realize most people felt it was premature.....but good lord. He would have finished him brutally if the fight were allowed to continue.

The contrasting opinion here is this: Corley should have been allowed as many knees to the canvas as he wanted.......as long as he retained the instinct to finish Cotto.

IMO....a fighter should only be allowed at MOST 2 self imposed knockdowns per fight....after that he is done.

Many people felt...(as well as I did) he was looking for a way out of the fight....and found it. His pride in the post fight interview clouded his judgement about him actually losing the fight.

I might have a heart attack if I hear someone say Corley was ahead on the cards at the time of the stoppage after 4 knockdowns.

All I hear is "Corley had the PR fighter disco dancing" LOL

I first thought that Cotto was being overhyped off his performance over Corley. But he showed good patience in his last fight over Abdullaev. He seems like he learned not to get so reckless and pick his shots even though he was stunned early in the Abdullaev fight. I'll guess we will all see how good Cotto is in the near future.
