Cory Spinks isn't a knockout puncher either but as far as pure skill, he might just be the best southpaw boxer since sweet pea. Dawson is not a knockout puncher, but you can't deny his talent and ability. Rarely do you ever see a fighter today throw those kind of combination's with that kind of speed, especially when you are nearly 6'4.

He failed to KO or even drop Tarver, and almost got beaten by a 40+ year old Johnson the first time. He'll need to be the living crap out of Pascal and Cloud (assuming he gets past Johnson) if he wants to even get a shot at being compared to Pacquiao.
      Calderon slipped my mind..good point..

Going by skill my list would look like this:

      1. Dawson
      2. Martinez
      3. Calderon
      4. Dirrell
      5. Hasegawa
      6. Bute
      7. Pacquiao
      8. Williams

i didnt mean mistakes like oh manny sucks ass and is a loser.. but technically we all know manny makes some mistakes but who doesnt? its funny how everyone puts him on a pedestal... like sugar ray robinson would get murdered against him type **** and its like come on man not even on pac's best day. but thats a discussion for a different thread.. i would have to say honestly i like bute also he is fast and has upped his game ever since losing i mean surviving i mean beating andrade

Pacquaio is the best fighter in the world, but not the best southpaw? Has does that work? Manny is the best southpaw EVER.

I don't think alot of people read the starting post.

Best southpaw BASED ON OVERALL SKILL & TECHNIQUE.

Pacquiao wouldn't be #1 on a list based on that.

Pac number 1 and I'd put calderon second, dawson is also arguably second but martinez is no where near calderon in terms of skill, he is skilled but his skills are incredibly overrated.

Its close. Calderon is a damn near flawless fighter. His only flaw being power. I gave Dawson and Martinez the nod only because I feel that Calderon is slipping he dominated in his last fight but something was off I think it was him getting older.
